The "Fess" type of shield represents the military belt and stands for Honor. Whereas the Clan is not a warring clan it is certainly one of the, if not the most honorable of the clans. The top color, gold, represents Generosity. The Duke consistently embodies this value. I have seen his generosity towards many individual vampires and on behalf of his clan. The middle color, purple, represents Justice, Sovereignty, and being Regal. The Duke and the Clan are nothing if not all three of these. Many times has the Duke come to the aid fo those in trouble and prevented or halted a war. The bottom color, silver, represents Sincerity, and Peace. The Clan and The Duke both reflect this trait as evidenced by the daily dealings with other vampires in Ravenblack City. The first image, the Stag, represents Skillfulness, Politics, and Loving of Harmony. The cornerstones of the Duke's philosophy in my opinion. The second image, the Eagle, represents the Protector, a person of action, noble nature, power, and strength. This defines the Duke. The third image. the Crown, represents regal or senior authority, heavenly reward. Again representint the Duke and his title of God of the Gray Lands. The last image, the Fox, represents wise defence and wisdom. Again, trademarks of the Liege.
